Inspiration
Our inspiration is to improve the lives of people living in low-income communities.
What it does
Our application, Diabetes Detector, predicts if a person may have diabetes with an accuracy of 92%, enabling people with limited medical access to decide if going to the hospital is a necessity.
How we built it
We split the work 2 and 2. Naman and Khushal coded the entire backend. Achin and Muhammad completed the front end.
Challenges we ran into
A challenge we ran into was connecting the Backend with our Frontend, since this was one of our first times trying it. Another challenge was a partner's computer crashed, resulting in the loss of several hours of work time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are extremely proud of our Machine Learning Algorithm's accuracy of 92% and F1 Score of 91%
What we learned
During this Hackathon, we learned how to connect the Frontend to the Backend of our application.
What's next for Diabetes Detector
Next for Diabetes Detector is polishing and opening the domain, while adding more details for people with limited access to medical attention.
