Inspiration
There is only one thing and one thing only in my mind that can help type 2 diabetes patients. It is persistent digital assistant that stays with the patient 24/7. If you don’t have something that is watching you every second and opines on the actions you are about to do the chances of success are futile at best. Let's not kid ourselves and admit what got us here in the first place and it is a lack of discipline. In my view, discipline is the mother of all corrections. If you can correct it, all the other helpful things, like exercise, diet plans, sugar monitoring, etc. will fall into place. Therefore, I propose to build a small drone with camera, mic and speakers that will hover over the person and will observe that person constantly. It will understand what actions the person is about to do, like trying to eat a cake, or drink alcohol, and will recommend better choices. It will wake the person up to exercise and remind to monitor the blood sugar levels. It will help the person to be disciplined. As you have probably guessed, I am speaking from personal experience, so I know all the pains of living with type 2 diabetes and I know what needs to be done to be successful.
