Inspiration

The inspiration behind Dhan Manthan comes from the desire to empower young college students and individuals with a platform where they can not only share their knowledge and content but also earn a fair reward for their expertise. We wanted to create a space where learning is not only enriching but also financially rewarding, providing an incentive for users to actively engage and help each other.

What it does

Dhan Manthan is a unique platform that enables users to upload their content and offer solutions to others' problems while earning points that lead to mentorship status. Users can progress through three levels by accumulating points through activities like watching free modules, participating in quizzes, and providing valuable answers in chat-based doubt resolution sessions. This system fosters a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

Dhan Manthan is a versatile platform that offers financial education, mentorship, and practical financial tools. It includes features like Debt Tracker to remind users of financial obligations, an Expense Tracker for smart spending management, and subscription-based modules for in-depth finance learning. This all-in-one platform promotes financial literacy and empowers users to make informed financial decisions.

How we built it

The core of our application was built using the Flutter framework, providing a robust and adaptable foundation for our mobile app. To ensure secure and efficient authentication processes, we harnessed the power of Firebase. Furthermore, our project's codebase found a home on GitHub, facilitating collaborative development and version control. This comprehensive tech stack enabled us to create Dhan Manthan as a cutting-edge platform that delivers both content and user experience excellence.

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the development phase of Dhan Manthan, we confronted a multitude of challenges. These included the intricate task of refining the point system's logic, striking the right equilibrium between fostering user engagement and providing monetary incentives, and crafting a resilient and scalable platform capable of accommodating a burgeoning user community, all while implementing stringent safeguards to prevent misuse. Our progress was facilitated by a prototype app that we built to test and refine our ideas.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have created a platform that not only promotes learning but also empowers users to become mentors and earn rewards for their knowledge in a unique way. Seeing users progress through the levels and witnessing the positive impact they have on each other's learning journeys has been a significant accomplishment for us. We're also proud of the community we've built around Dhan Manthan, where knowledge-sharing thrives.

What we learned

Throughout the development of Dhan Manthan, we've learned the importance of striking a balance between gamification and education. We've also gained insights into how to maintain content quality and user engagement while ensuring fairness and transparency in our reward system.
