Inspiration
The staggering statistic that 57% of Africans do not have any kind of bank account, including mobile money accounts, was a profound inspiration. Witnessing the immense potential of cryptocurrencies to empower individuals and promote financial inclusion, we recognised an urgent need to bridge the gap for the unbanked population in Africa.
What it does
Dhamana Wallet leverages the NEAR protocol and utilises SMS services and USSD short-codes, to provide a user-friendly, offline solution for millions of underserved Africans, empowering them with financial access and opportunities previously out of reach.
How we built it
We have built it using the Express framework, the Africas Talking JavaScript SDK, and the Near JavaScript API
