Inspiration

The idea for Dezain originated from Dezain Studio - our design agency operating on a subscription model. The vision was to extend the original idea by integrating AI for management making design accessible, cost-effective and seamless for SMEs.

What it does

This solution combines AI and human input to efficiently translate business insights into designer briefs. Our AI tool guides clients through the briefing stage and offers an overall brand material management platform.

How we built it

We created a basic process structure using animated slides and gained an understanding of the AI model's baseline. The AI assistant operates on a customized Chatgpt language model, which is trained to lead a similar briefing process as a human. By engaging with the customer, the AI understands the design need and asks for additional information, such as details or inspirational images. Once the necessary details are provided, it generates a brief summary and calculates the estimated tokens required for the task. Finally, the brief is sent to the designer.

Challenges we ran into

While development Dezain, we've encountered several challenges:

• scaling down our initial idea to focus on one specific task solution
• bridging the knowledge gap between creative solutions and technical expertise, given our foundation in design.
• pinpointing market niche / identifying ideal clients
• looking for the most innovative and logical solutions to solve multiple shortcomings of current design agency model.

Accomplishments we're proud of

We take pride in our ability to identify shortcomings and pursue more effective solutions beyond the initial attempt. A significant advancement for us has been deepening our backend understanding through developer insights. This progress lays a strong foundation that we're committed to continuously enhancing.

What we learned

We have learned the basics of creating a simple AI language model that is trained to understand specific requirements for design tasks. This ensures that the AI model outputs are more complete, precise, and accurate. Along that we have learned/figured out how the app will function and look from user's perspective as well as how token usage pricing can benefit our business model in the future.

What's next for Dezain

Further we'll keep conduction research and validating new app features since big part of this project is addressing challenges both designers and business owners are struggling to overcome regarding design. As well as we plan on working on AI brand strategist tool.
