Developers spend countless hours debugging complex codebases, hunting down security vulnerabilities, and writing tedious documentation. We wanted to build an intelligent assistant that seamlessly integrates into a developer's workflow to automate these repetitive tasks, allowing creators to focus on building great products.
What it does
DevPulse AI is a smart developer assistant powered by Amazon Bedrock. It provides three core capabilities:
- Automated Bug & Vulnerability Detection: Scans source code in real time to highlight potential errors and security flaws.
- Performance Optimization: Suggests code refactoring and efficiency improvements.
- Auto-Generated Documentation: Generates clean, standardized technical documentation and API specs instantly.
How we built it
- AI Core: Powered by Amazon Bedrock (using Anthropic Claude / AWS AI models) for deep code analysis and natural language processing.
- Backend: Built with Python (FastAPI/Flask) deployed on AWS Lambda & Amazon API Gateway.
- Frontend / Integration: A clean web dashboard and VS Code extension interface built with React / TypeScript.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating real-time code parsing with LLM responses while maintaining low latency was a challenge. Optimizing prompt engineering for accuracy without exceeding token limits required careful design.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Successfully connecting AWS Bedrock to provide context-aware code suggestions.
- Building an intuitive interface that delivers actionable insights in seconds.

We gained deep hands-on experience leveraging Amazon Bedrock models for real-world developer tools and designing scalable serverless architectures on AWS.
