Inspiration
Due to the decoupled nature of existing private flight operations management systems, we sought to create a platform that allows management to coalesce the entire process into one main system.
What it does
AWF provides a "one-stop-shop" for private flight operations. Tasks such as user indexing, rental statistics, financial analysis, along with the scheduling & management of mechanical operations - past, present & future.
How we built it
Frontend Stack
- React - Core JavaScript library for the user interface
- Tailwind CSS - Utility-first CSS framework for styling
- shadcn/ui - Modern React component library (all components installed)
- Framer Motion - Animation library for smooth transitions
Backend & Platform
- base44 Platform
- Serverless backend infrastructure
- Built-in Authentication
- Google OAuth integration
Challenges we ran into
The most challenging aspect of the project proved to be integrating a real-time flight tracker, which is a standard feature of most flight management platforms. We believe that given ample time, a working integration is within reach.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The completion of a robust, standalone platform with both web & mobile views was a feat in itself. We're proud of the amount of UI/UX that was implemented into the platform within the timeframe
What we learned
Since we used the base44 platform, we gained experience on Serverless providers, as well as OAuth integrations with Google.
What's next for Aviation Workflow Management (AWF)
We seek to continue the development of a fully functional real-time flight tracker within the app.
Built With
- base44
- cloudskyapi
- oauth
- react
- tailwind
- typescript
