Submission form image uploads are still 5MB and less - for crappy phones from 2011, this is fine. However, for the sake of time during a hackathon deadline, in 2023, the limit needs to allow for direct-from-phone screenshots, which are typically around 10-20MB these days.
Thumbnail should be auto-generated from the first photo if the team did not have time to upload a separate thumbnail. (Gif size should also be increased to at least 23MB)
When an iOS or Android app is available for download as a submission form link, have it show up as more of a prominent "download app button." Alternatively, when a Testflight is available, provide some general directions automatically, so that new participants can also test it out.
Devpost might integrate Slides.com or Google Slides instead of having slides being yet another link
