Inspiration

Ever wanted to control GitHub elements from issues,repositories,Pull Requests,searching users ,projects and discussions and many more ? Welcome to Devloom , just put youur GitHub Personal Access Token and your Gemini AI studio key and control all of that just via a prompt and more planned for the future ;)

What it does

Devloom is currently orientted around GitHub , so it can do,search and control majority of everyday GitHub elements just via a prompt (could be replaced with voice in near future) and I plan on adding more Developer needs and tools via different services,s MCPs like Jira , Slack , Vercel etc

How we built it

I built it with the Latest (^1.30.0 currently) MCP server using node.js and express and written in Typescript and validated strictly with zod ,its main functionality is based on the GitHub Octokit SDK but it,s future would involve controlling more Developer tools and fields like Vercel,Slack,Jira AWS etc , it also has a small frontend which uses basic HTML,CSS and Javascript

Challenges we ran into

It was kinda hard to understand the implementation of the MCP with Gemini SDK and wire it all up with Express.js routes And write strictly validated zod schemas but at the end it was pretty fun to work with and see it Live in action

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Make a functioning MCP server with a beautiful , tiny yet effective frontend

What we learned

I learnt alot of general concepts related to AI , Typescript,zod and specifically MCP and was pretty blown away by how much fun it can be to see something so complicated behind the stage be so simple and effective on the front

What's next for Devloom

I feel the future is certainly unpredictable , but i would target more Developer fields and tools with Devloom , like Jira , Slack , Vercel ,AWS and maybe even Gmail etc
