Inspiration

Well, there are so many shy people, techies included. Passing across an idea might be hard especially when other team members are more outspoken.

What it does

Why not accord everyone equal chance to put across their ideas? It is a system that allows everyone in a team to be involved in idea generation and development and essentially cuts down the time and pressure that goes into brainstorming, while having still great ideas on the table.

How we built it

For the actual template, one can use an excel sheet or any other tool that can, in an organized way, receive input from multiple people, preferably even collaborative like miro. Still figuring it out. As for the presentation tool, I used Canva video editor.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out another way of having a brainstorming session that cuts the time, ensures every idea is well considered to get the most out of teams and give the best solutions, without compromising on the quality of ideas generated.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am especially glad that whatever I am introducing is not something new in the sense that it has already been proven and tested to work, yet at the same time new coz sure, we've all heard of brainstorming, but how many really know about brainwriting! I am also happy with how the visual presentation came out. Definitely falling in love with myself more every day, and am loving it.

What we learned

When you're meditatively thinking about a particular problem, tech-wise, more often than not the right solution will make it's way to your thoughts at some point, always have a pen and paper to jot down those ideas that flash.

What's next for DEVISE

More research to find out how much more 'juice really you can squeeze from a lemon', whether it's the 'squeezer' that needs modification or it's the 'lemon' that needs motivation.
