Environmental Issues: Problem Statement: Yes, the story behind this project is based on a real-life situation where most people indulge in a wasteful attitude, more so, when so many people could not give away nor dispose of those electronics and electrical devices at their disposal properly. Most times the same people purchase the newest version of the same EE products and find it difficult to manage the previous version nor dispose of them properly which would later fall into the hands of people who will not dispose of the devices in a professional manner. This will cause our environment to face constant pollution from an improper way of disposing of such devices. Most offices and homes experience this scenario and are willing to embrace a solution that will easily allow them to dispose of or give away the devices in a manner that will either make them make some cash on them or give it to the people that will reuse it or people who can professionally dispose of them.

What it does?

Device exchange app, it will be used to collect device from depositors to “reuse” or to “dispose of” We plan to build a microservice application with both web and mobile front ends. This is a device exchange app that would allow both corporate bodies and individuals to exchange used devices with parties that are interested in recycling or reusing the device. Proposed solution: Therefore, our thought is to build an app that can learn from the devices and remind the device owner that your gadget is approaching the end of its life. The app will also enable people to enter device information to get a reminder at the end of life. This app will enable a collection algorithm that would peer the device depositor and the party that is willing to have the device for reuse or for professional and proper disposal. The app allows the device owner to benefit either as a giver or cash reward.

How we built it?

Using the combination of microservices apps and machine leaning and blockchain technology.

Challenges we ran into

Yes, we are right now facing the funding challenges now.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Right now, we just started the creation of the app prototype

What we learned

Managing microservices app and integration of our app with project management tools as well as other productivity tools. What have we learnt so far? So far, we have gathered experience around the solution build-up as well as understanding the problem statement that brought about the opportunity to embark on the project. First let’s look at the problem statement, which is a persistent situation in our society coupled with advances in the product version released by the OEM that sets the new release of the device date for the advertisement industry to inform people about the latest devices on board. Two, in the build-up to the solution development, we experience a series of decisions to see how we would make this platform available to all parties from corporate bodies to an individual on the web and on mobile, whereas, the corporate bodies can also have access to the app from their productivity tools such as Microsoft teams with power platform, while, an individual can also download the app from app stores.

What's next for Device Exchange App

To complete the build and launch the app into all app stores as well as make it available for enterprise business worldwide.
