Inspiration
While I saw the decline of stackoverflow, I thought why not to create something for developers powered by ai and maintaing human in the loop.
What it does
Devflow is a full stack developer community platform which helps new comers to ask questions not just to people but to ai that have the context of million of developers related problems. It is powered with Gemini to create answers with ai while giving some human based context. It has its own tags and badge system to increase participation and interaction. Proper dashboard to see questions, answers and comments.
How we built it
I used nextjs, mongodb, tailwindcss, shadcn ui and gemini to build devlop.
Challenges we ran into
Using server component and understanding nextjs server side rendering was challenging but it was worth it. I also faced uncompatability of different libraries and issues with typescript.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Overall the experience of building this project makes me proud.
What we learned
I learned utilization of nextjs, mongo db, production grade architecture.
What's next for DevFlow
More integration of ai and some cool features to empower developers.
