Inspiration

I was inspired to build this portfolio because I felt a traditional resume couldn't fully capture my journey as a developer. I wanted to create a living document that not only lists my skills but also demonstrates them through interactive design and clean code. It was also the perfect opportunity for me to dive deep into modern CSS and put animation libraries into practice in a meaningful way

What it does

How I built it

I started with wireframes, then built the site using semantic HTML and a mobile-first, responsive CSS layout with Flexbox and Grid. Vanilla JavaScript and the AOS library add the final interactive touches.

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring the responsive navigation bar worked flawlessly on all devices was my biggest challenge. Solving it was a huge confidence boost and taught me valuable lessons in JavaScript and DOM manipulation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm most proud of building the responsive navigation bar from scratch with vanilla JavaScript and CSS, which was a great lesson in DOM manipulation.

What I learned

Building this project was a fantastic learning experience. I solidified my understanding of responsive design, moving beyond theory to practical application for various screen sizes. I also learned how to implement third-party JavaScript libraries effectively, ensuring they didn't slow down the site's performance. On a personal level, this project taught me the importance of planning and wireframing before writing a single line of code.

What's next for Developer Portfolio

Implement a Dark/Light Mode Toggle, Refactor with a Modern Framework, Performance and Accessibility Audit.
