Inspiration

There are over 19 million programmers out there in the world. However, 13 million of them are professionals, implying the rest are more of "casual-coders". Now, that may be a pretty small percentage, but it's still a quite large number, Right?? So we decided to assist those "casual-coders" using a simple tool which we decide to call drum rolls "Dev-Assist".

And before you ask, "Yes, We are also casual-coders."

What it does

You may find "Dev-Assist" similar to many of the virtual assistants out there, but it doesn't manage your daily To-Do tasks. Rather, it gets user's queries and intelligently looks for answers to serve.

And we didn't forget the "Dark Mode", you know, for you "hardcore coders"

How we built it

We used "react" for front-end development which connects flask(used as backend). Also we used a specific bot to give out appropriate results.

Challenges we ran into

None of us had any experience with hosting and deployment, so that was a challenge.

What we learned

Well, This Hackathon was a first for a lot of things, mainly with back-end programming and hosting services.

What's next for Dev-Assist

I personally believe that this is the start for "Dev-Assist", we as a team will continue to work on this and implement all the crazy ideas that we couldn't apply because of the time-frame.
