Inspiration
We surfed through the internet a lot but could not get a bot or a program to detect diseases using symptoms that uses NLP. So we decided to build something on it so that the people can have better access to medical facilities in a very simple way.
What it does
With Detect Me, you can now detect diseases with just the symptoms using NLP program. Our project has many commands for people like us to get around with diseases in a better way and have emergency commands like hospitals near me. The list of commands is as follows:
i got- to get the disease name/hospital_near_me- to get hosptitals near you/consult- TO consult to a real doctor/addmeTo add you as a doctor(where our staff will autheticate you)/about- This bot helps people to get around with diseases in a better way
How we built it
- We built it using python and Cohere where we used Cohere for NLP.
- We used Telegrambot API to make a telegram bot.
- We divided the work in half so that we could manage the whole project to be completed within the time frame.
Challenges we ran into
- We didn't know where to start as this was a very vast theme.
- We had a lot of team members initially but then many members backed out so it was definitely difficult for the two of us.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We were able to complete the whole project in time.
- We were also able to record a good demo video.
- We could learn about diseases, NLP and telegram API.
- We were able to complete the project with only 2 team members.
What we learned
- We learnt to work in a team.
- We learnt to divide the work among ourselves to complete it.
- We learnt to use Cohere and Telegram bot library.
What's next for Detect Me
- We will add some more commands to out Telegram bot.
- We will also make a website on the theme.
