Detect.AI

Inspiration

I was inspired by tesla's self-driving feature and decided to try something similar

What it does

It detects cars, faces, and humans, moreover, It saves their image after detection for future data use.

How we built it

I built it using Open-cv and Python. I also used pre-trained data for demo purposes because training takes long time I used Haarcascade data from Github

Challenges we ran into

I was going to incorporate it into a mobile app, however kivy isn't supported by Python 3.11, so ended up only applying to a webcam.

I learned how to design detection algorithms and how to use pre-existing ones
