Destroy the Socks!

Inspiration

I knew I wanted to create a game with my dog in it. I also knew that I needed the game to be simple enough since this is my first 'big' project by myself.

What it does

Space invaders! but socks. My dog's favorite thing is socks but these ones are evil. So you press space bar and it will shoot out her favorite toy, a plush version of the poop emoji, and it will hit the socks, getting you points. You have to get as many points before the timer runs out.

How we built it

I built it in pycharm using the pygame extension.

Challenges we ran into

I had to restart multiple times because I wasn't used to graphic based games. This is my first time using graphics in a game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting it to run! How the graphics also look and how much the character resembles my dog!

How to import graphics into pygame.

What's next for Destroy the Socks!

I would like to see it have levels instead of a timer where maybe the socks come down faster and faster and you have to shoot them before you die.
