Inspiration
Traveling to places around the world, I have always had trouble finding places to sightsee and visit. This issue pressed me to think of a solution that adequately solved this problem leading me to come up with Destinations.
What it does
It takes in user input cities and returns a list of places that show you where you can sightsee, eat, and rest.
How we built it
We used the Google Places API to give us all of the information that needed to be displayed and used the built in features to show the places to sightsee, eat, and visit based off of google reviews. This combined with front end coding like spline, html, css, and javascript allowed us to create our website.
Challenges we ran into
Implementing all of the google places API was the biggest challenge. Due to the time constraints we were only able to implement the data for 5 major cities.
