Inspiration

Inspired by dreamers everywhere, Desteny was born from a simple idea: to turn ambition into action. The project began as a solo journey—just me, a laptop, and a passion for building something that could guide people through their personal goals. Whether it’s running a marathon or mastering JavaScript, Desteny is for everyone chasing purpose.

What it does

Desteny is a structured goal-setting SaaS app that empowers users to visualize, build, and track their goals through interactive workflows. With AI-generated workflows, a community-driven Templates Marketplace, and a motivational Leaderboard, it turns everyday ambitions into achievable paths.

How we built it

Built solo during a hackathon using React, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript—Desteny was crafted in Cursor and VS Code over many late nights. Every workflow, animation, and AI interaction was built from scratch to ensure a smooth and delightful user experience.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge? Doing it solo. Juggling frontend design, backend logic, and UX flow without a team demanded focus, discipline, and relentless optimism. Integrating AI in real-time and creating dynamic workflow layouts was both a puzzle and a breakthrough.

What we learned

I learned how to think holistically—how UI, user motivation, and technical architecture all intertwine. Building Desteny taught me that even a solo developer can deliver a feature-rich, polished SaaS product with the right mindset and tools.

  • Expand the Templates Marketplace with community-curated content
  • Add mobile support and offline progress tracking
  • Enhance Desteny AI with deeper personalization and voice input
  • Introduce team-based goal challenges for collaborative ambition
