At Desk., we are dedicated to transforming the everyday environment of the classroom so it is a dynamic, interactive, collaborative one. In school, students sign into a "Desk." and write notes, read textbooks, complete classwork, take tests and quizzes, etc. In addition to information-gathering capabilities, the Desk. also makes classroom collaboration simple and easy. When students work together, they can connect their desks and slide notes and webpages back and forth between Desk.s. They can gather individual work together to create unique projects and presentations. If a teacher wants to add to her students' work, she can give out a handout, instead of giving out physical papers that are messy and cumbersome to store and carry. Because our Desk. uses cloud-based computing, students can also manage their own projects and collaborations they have with their classmates and students from other schools.
