Finding a sustainable solution for a disposable oriented medical market.

What it does

By implementing existing low priced/easy to find on the market /low pressure UVC germicidal lamps we can give care takers the ability to use the UVC technologie for desinfection purposes where needed.

How I built it

We need to find lamp armatures that can be hacked to allow a UVC lamp to be built in. By dooing so we reduce time to implementation and startup cost. measurements regarding necessary irradiation dose will need to be done. (Measurement device is at disposal for the project) Easy understandable guidelines and restrictions to guard the users safety and to make sure the right irradiation dose is delivered to confirm a LOG4 / 99.99% inactivity of the novel Corona Virus

Challenges I ran into

Finding experts: it's hard to get linked to people in the UVC field (small world) but finaly i found an entrance @ Philips and Osram regarding product knowledge that is crucial for implementing "European produced" Low pressure germicidal UVC lamps. i already have lamp company's i would like to contcact but this will need to be done when progressing with the project

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

have done al lot of work that has been internationaly rewarded and also patented regarding product development and R&D.

What I learned again

Its not what you know its who you know and how you get to them ;-)

work on possible user scenarios together with medical staff to see where UVC desinfection could be implemented.
