Inspiration

The elderly often struggle with maintaining a healthy lifestyle and staying current with technology at the same time as they become older. Although we are living longer, is our quality of life increasing as a result? To answer the current unmet needs of older persons who wish to live peacefully, we came up with a solution that combines technology, and personal profession. By enabling the elderly to remain healthy and live life to the fullest as they age, the aim is to increase their quality of life. We are here to take care of their career, reduce their tension, and provide them with tranquility.

What it does

Desco is a platform that provides personalized care, relieving individuals of troublesome tasks and enabling them to pursue their passions. We offer work opportunities specially tailored for them, ensuring that age does not hinder their work interests. We also understand that feeling overwhelmed by new technology is common at this age, so we've broken everything down into manageable processes for their convenience. Our aim is to empower seniors to embrace technology and not feel left behind by the younger generation.

How we built it

We built the application using JS and used Descope Flows and Connectors for authentication.

Challenges we ran into

It was challenging for us to come up with an idea that has a real-world application and can actually assist the targeted users in solving their current difficulties. Although we had ideas for more functionality, we first wanted to make sure that what we had was ready for production and provided a positive user experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Within the short timeframes we started, we finished the front-end and a small portion of the back-end of the program, and we are happy with the results.

What we learned

In order to tackle a problem, we learned how to build a simple website. In order to solve this issue, we had to think creatively and conduct research while developing our programming skills. -Using Descope for authentication allows for the quick and easy delivery to users.

What's next for Desco

We shall cooperate to make sure that the elderly are happy and that all of their concerns are taken care of. Our technology will quickly adapt to these new capabilities in the near future to help them streamline the process.
