That question led to the creation of DermaScan — an AI-powered skin companion designed to analyze, understand, and enhance your skin health effortlessly.

  • Lighting & Angles: Variations affected AI accuracy. Solved using OpenCV normalization and data augmentation.

  • Skin Tone Diversity: Ensured fairness across all skin types by training on diverse datasets using the Fitzpatrick scale.

  • Real-Time Optimization: Used TensorFlow Lite and model quantization to achieve real-time predictions with minimal lag.

  • User Experience: Balanced medical accuracy with approachable, elegant design.

  • Gemini Integration: Integrated Google Gemini 2.5 Flash for intelligent, natural-language recommendations and better contextual reasoning.
