🧠 Project Title: DermaScan – AI-Powered Skin Health & Beauty Analysis

Project Description – What We Built and Why It Matters

DermaScan is an AI-powered skin health analysis and beauty assessment platform designed to help users understand and improve their skin condition. By using computer vision and machine learning, the platform scans facial images to detect potential skin diseases, identify problem areas, and provide personalized health insights and home remedies.

The idea originated from the growing challenge of limited access to dermatologists and the increasing prevalence of skin issues caused by pollution, diet, and lifestyle factors. Our goal was to create a cost-effective, accessible, and data-driven AI solution that empowers individuals to proactively manage their skin health.

DermaScan goes beyond diagnosis—it also performs a facial beauty analysis, assessing symmetry, skin tone, texture, and overall health. The AI engine then generates personalized recommendations for skincare improvement and wellness.

We chose to focus on accuracy, user trust, and intuitive design, ensuring that the platform feels professional yet approachable. By merging AI/ML models with a smooth web interface, DermaScan bridges the gap between healthcare and technology—making AI dermatology both reliable and easy to use.
