Inspiration

These days, skincare recommendations and tips are often heavily influenced by sponsors, hard to receive without going to a dermatologist, or difficult to pinpoint accurate, personalized treatments.

What it does

Upload or take a photo of yourself, and it will send the photo to Google Gemini API. Gemini will return personalized diagnosis, products, treatment, skincare routines, and even daily tips that can help with improving your skin.

How we built it

We built DermAI using Next.js for the full stack framework, and TailwindCSS for styling. The AI skin analysis is powered by Google Gemini's API, which, from a prompt we engineered, analyzes skin and identifies concerns as well as possible ways to improve. We used Supabase for Google OAuth and storing scanning history in a PostgreSQL database. This app is also deployed on Vercel.
