Our inspiration? Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. We envision a future where crypto isn't just a buzzword but the heartbeat of everyday transactions. Imagine a world where the most dominant currency in day-to-day life is cryptocurrency. Sounds badass, right?

We looked around us, scouring for issues blockchain can tackle, dreaming of how we can turn this future into reality. The key? Getting more people to embrace web3 and cryptocurrencies, making them a part of their daily wins. We're talking about the little things that matter – buying clothes online, paying for services, the stuff that fuels human interaction. These daily wins are essential, they're the lifeblood of society.

So, we zoomed in on one of the biggest daily wins – something people can't live without: energy. We believe that creating a decentralized system where people can buy and pay for energy using crypto is a game-changer. It's not just about convenience; it's about getting more folks to dive into the world of crypto.

This isn't just a pipe dream. It's happening. We're making it a reality!

What it does

Simple and effective! Our project, DEPS, enables you to buy energy units with ETH.

How we built it

DEPS is a web app. We built the frontend with NextJS and we deployed the backend (Smart Contract) on Base.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges we ran into was not quite much. We had to get familiar with a few Web3 technologies. This is probably the most difficult part. But through the help of our mentor, we scaled through it.

We are proud of accomplishing the building of this project and how we will improve it in the future.

We learned a lot about the Ethereum and Base networks and Smart Contracts.

What's next for DEPS

The next step is to ship the prototype to few users to gather feedbacks. We will then iterate on the feedback and build a market fit product.
