Inspiration
DentAYA was inspired by a problem I observed through my education in Dental Prosthetics Technology and hands-on experience with dental laboratory and CAD/CAM workflows: modern dentistry is becoming increasingly digital, yet its technologies and data remain fragmented.
Patient records, intraoral scans, radiological images, clinical decisions, laboratory workflows, CAD/CAM design and digital manufacturing often operate through separate systems. DentAYA was conceived to connect these elements into one continuous digital dental ecosystem.
What DentAYA Does
DentAYA is an AI-powered Dental HealthTech platform designed to connect patients, dentists, clinics, dental laboratories, CAD/CAM technicians and academic institutions.
The vision is to create a longitudinal digital dental profile where relevant patient information—including scans, imaging, treatment history and future digital records—can be securely organized over time.
An AI-assisted layer is planned to help dental professionals analyze information, evaluate treatment alternatives and support personalized planning. The AI is designed as decision support, not as a replacement for professional clinical judgment.
DentAYA also aims to connect clinical workflows with treatment and design simulation, dental laboratories, CAD/CAM systems and 3D production. This creates a pathway from dental data to analysis, planning, design and ultimately manufacturing.
What Makes It Different
DentAYA is not intended to be only a clinic management application, an AI diagnostic tool or CAD software.
Its long-term objective is to build an interoperable infrastructure connecting the major stages of the digital dental journey within one ecosystem.
This approach could enable better continuity of dental data, more efficient clinic-laboratory collaboration and new opportunities for AI-assisted treatment planning, simulation and digital manufacturing.
Current Stage
DentAYA is currently at the concept and early development stage.
So far, the project has focused on defining the product vision, user groups, platform modules, system architecture, AI use cases, dental data strategy, CAD/CAM and 3D production integration concepts, and a phased development roadmap.
The next milestone is to build a functional MVP around selected high-value use cases, followed by technical validation and pilot studies with dental professionals and laboratories.
Challenges and Learning
One of the biggest challenges is designing a platform that connects healthcare data, AI and digital manufacturing while maintaining security, interoperability and clinical responsibility.
My experience in dental prosthetics and CAD/CAM workflows has shown me that successful dental technology must be designed around real clinical and laboratory workflows rather than technology alone.
Vision
Our long-term goal is to develop DentAYA into a scalable global Dental HealthTech ecosystem connecting longitudinal dental data, AI-assisted clinical decision support, simulation, digital design and manufacturing—creating a continuous digital infrastructure for the future of dentistry.
