Inspiration

This project inspired me because of my father, an honest businessman who taught me that integrity is everything.

Purpose

Roughly six billion dollars annually goes to fraud within the dental insurance industry and is only increasing. This application hopes to address this issue through blockchain technology.

React, Node, Solidity, and Truffle

Utilizing an interactive React front end with an effective Node i/o backend, this project integrates a very appealing UI while providing an in-depth backend infrastructure to run and deploy contracts through Truffle and Solidity.

Alchemy and Ether.js

Unfortunately, this project is currently running as an offline application due to issues with attempting to interact with my contracts on the blockchain.

Providing a Proof of Concept

I am happy to be able to showcase an initial idea I had at the beginning of the summer, and seeing it (somewhat) fully come to fruition. I believe it could be pivotal in improving the quality of life for many people.

Web3 is Always Changing

My biggest issue was not recognizing that some things may be out of date, such as packages, example files, etc. It was the biggest hindrance to my progress and ultimately the reason I had to run my application offline. Next time, I would focus more on the documentation of certain software I utilized in this project before I start building again.

What's Next for Dental Insurance Claims

I hope to rebuild this project to the standard and vision I had for it when I first started. I think this could be a huge prospect for the future and indirectly transform people's lives for the better.
