The problem
The current situation has spiked demand of critical medical components, PPE and other aids far outpacing the capabilities of the existing supply chain. The epidemic has also brought businesses to a halt, leaving SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises), which comprise a majority of the EU’s employers, with non existent revenue streams, Idling factories, and furloughed workers.
The solution
We build and provide a platform that matches the supply side of 3d printing companies with the demands of equipment for caregivers and professionals. We leverage the use of online purchasing and payment system while rating the capability of people to respond.
Imagine: The solution is just connecting the people. An idling/under capacity 3D printing facility didn't know he could help a nursing home right down the street. Our Platform with a few clicks brings them together.
What you have done during the weekend
We started from scratch so we had to set up the team, agreed upon the value proposition and business model and produce a Pitch Deck with 10 points, a Prototype and a video.
The solution’s impact to the crisis
Available supply of needed items will be efficiently and quickly matched to small and medium businesses in need. 3D printing manufacturers will have access to new revenue streams once unknown.
The necessities in order to continue the Project
We need funding in order to hire IT experts to develop the web and the platform, the hosting provider and maintenance. Last but not least a dedicated budget for marketing is needed.
Our solution after Covid-19
The health sector is a fertile ground for 3D printing, think about more advanced applications like artificial prosthesis or even organs. However we won't be limited to the health sector. We will adapt the business model introducing new players from the demand side. Our manufacturing SMEs will have gained expertise in 3D technologies ready for the uptake by other sectors of application, e.g. shoes manufacturers, automotive industry, architecture…
