Ventra 2.0

A new and improved Ventra mobile application built in Android! Idea: Creating a new version of Chicago Transport Authority's Ventra to include an interactive map of train locations, as well as time tables to include arrival time and time remaining

Android programmer

1. Created the Arrivals and Stations activities

2. Used CTA's Api to get all the incoming train data and parse it into a recycler view based on the station.

3. Implemented the google maps API for showing train locations and created a recycler view for changing stations

I was the Android Programmer who worked on following:

1. Splash Screen and Animations

2. List of Ventra cards such as the list views, adapters, and holders

3. The report emergency function, which allows the user to take a picture of an incident anonymously and sends it to authorities (presumably CTA, CPD, etc.)

4. Android Fragments

I created the main activity which involved the XML sheets for toolbar and the navigation drawer. The main activity also manages fragments.
