Inspiration
Developers are struggling with tools, sure there are agents like greptile and coderabbit, but these tools are not agents, neither do they contain agents. They are just streamlined for general tasks. What if developers had a tool better streamlined for specific use cases, agents that are hyper focused on their respective tasks.
What it does
Demideus is currently a collection of agents and flows that help the user achieve the best repo state they can. It scans your repo for bugs, security issues, it fixes these issues, it writes tests, it builds new features, it creates documentation, it actually tests your code to generate a report and it makes use of flows when triggered to create, build or finetune your repo.
How I built it
Built solely using gitlab flow and agents.
Challenges we ran into
A few hiccups was the agents not being seen, a few tools being called wrongly hence making pipeline tests fail, triggering flows, and I guess ensuring the agents actually did what they were made for.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully made up to 10 agents and 4 flows that enables developers have an intuitive experience while building.
What we learned
This space needs to be looked at more, finetuning models, making the agents even better, the possibilities are a lot
What's next for Demideus
To be honest, demideus is part of a project that I plan to launch in the future, it will include other platforms, but for some reason I may have taken a bit of a liking to gitlab, I will say the platform gets kind of plenty to deal with at first, and I still get stuck in some places (I haven't really built with externally before with it). But demideus will be a fully fledged company like greptile, just needs some startup mentorship and funding I believe
