Inspiration
Our personal experience with this health care issue through our family member inspired us to find an easy solution, and make a contribution to the future health care sector.
What it does
This is a progressive health care web app designed for patients with dementia to ensure their safety and medications are taken care of and simplify the interaction between medical professionals and patients.
How I built it
We developed this web application on Glitch using JavaScipt, HTML, CSS, and various APIS such as google-maps API and a calender API. We also created a domain for our web app.
Challenges I ran into
Challenges faced during this development of the app include attempting to integrate Radar API in our app but were unable to do so. Instead, we used Google Maps and Calendar API.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We have developed a complete web application for people who have dementia to make them and their caregivers' lives easier. We completed all the goals that we had set for ourselves at the beginning of the hackathon. This was our team's first time developing a project of this scale and we were able to use many different tools such as APIs, HTML code, and JavaScript code.
What I learned
Throughout this project, we learned how to build a proper web application with APIs. We further developed our soft skills such as collaboration, organization, and creativity.
What's next for DeMEDtia Plus
This is a scalable web application that can be developed further into a phone application.
The competition we want to take part in is the best use of google cloud, domain.com, best mapping and travel hack
