Inspiration
Gabby often speaks to women who are ambitious but stuck, waiting to feel confident before they move. In her posts and Shipyard live session, a pattern is clear: they ask how she does things so easily, when in reality she built confidence through repeated action.
The insight behind Delulu is simple:
Confidence is not a prerequisite. It’s evidence collected over time. Instead of asking users to define big goals (which can overwhelm someone already confused), Delulu removes decision fatigue. It offers small, structured brave actions across life areas like: 1. Travel 2. Money 3. Career 4. Visibility 5. Self-Trust
Each action turns movement into visible proof.
What it does
Delulu is a structured bravery app. Users receive small, guided actions they can complete in minutes, not life-changing leaps, but intentional micro-moves.
Every completed action becomes visible “evidence” of confidence growing. Over time, users don’t just feel motivated, they see proof.
The experience is intentionally:
- Light
- Playful
- Pressure-free
It’s not a goal tracker. It’s a quiet push forward.
How I built it
The app is built around five curated life categories inspired by Gabby’s messaging. Each action includes:
- A clear main title
- A grounding subtitle (to reduce pressure)
- A time estimate
- A contextual help explanation
- Optional premium insights (“See how Creator did this”)
Actions are pre-curated instead of user-generated to reduce overwhelm and align with Gabby’s voice. The design uses friendly visual elements and a character to keep the experience soft and encouraging rather than intimidating.
To reinforce emotional safety, the app includes a soft, friendly bird character that represents growing confidence. Instead of streaks or pressure-based progress bars, Delulu uses a soft bird companion to represent confidence growth. Birds move in small hops before taking flight, mirroring the idea that confidence isn’t a leap, it’s built through repeated micro-actions.
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenge was avoiding becoming another productivity app. Many confidence apps lean into streaks, pressure, or goal dashboards. That approach doesn’t serve someone who already feels behind. So as Gabby mentioned it has to be just one thing her audience could hone into plus it has to be light. So leaning my way to crisp design was slightly a challenge.
Another challenge was balancing free value with sustainable monetization. Instead of gating core functionality, I chose to gate deeper insights and know-hows, while keeping essential actions accessible.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
- A fully functional prototype with structured categories and curated actions
- A visible “confidence evidence” system rather than abstract motivation
- A monetization model aligned with value, not restriction
- A design language that feels soft, supportive, and non-judgmental
What was learned
Confidence grows when resistance is reduced and action becomes simple. Users who feel directionless don’t need more options, they need clear next steps. I also learned that content curation is crucial. The real power of Delulu is not just in the structure, but in aligning the micro-actions with Gabby’s philosophy.
What’s next for Delulu – Grow your confidence quick and easily
- The next step is deep collaboration with Gabby to refine content tone, curate actions more closely to her audience’s real struggles, and embed her tips and insights into premium layers.
- Long term, Delulu can become a structured confidence companion for women who are ambitious — but waiting to feel ready.
