A UC Davis student newly created a Facebook page named "UC Davis Food Deliveries", where students could coordinate what food they wanted with who would be willing to bring it to them for a set delivery fee. After seeing numerous, lengthy conversations where the planning would happen, I thought to myself that it would all be easier with an application that made all the coordination simple. This is what inspired me to create Delivr with my team at the Hackathon. Our target users include college students, who are always looking for the most convenient and cheapest ways of getting food and helping each other out for some small cash.
The key features that we are most proud of is using many Frameworks, API's and languages that were completely new to some of us to accomplish our tasks. The features in particular that we pride ourselves in are the newsfeed system and being able to retrieve information about the user through Facebook. In addition, we managed to make it cross-platform through NodeJS server.
