Inspiration

Its really a headache to think about what to make, so I thought of creating an online recipe application so that people can look for new things and cook good feasts for them. Finding good restaurants is also a big problem now a days, so I created a restaurant locator so that people can find the best ones near them to order food from.

What it does

This website in general is a recipe finder & a restaurant locator. Through the first component which is the recipe finder, you can find lots of recipe's for different ingredients, with the recipe you even get a YouTube video link for the same food. So that you can just watch the video and get an overview of it and simply cook your great feast. Through the restaurant locator, you can check the best restaurants near you and using the rating section you can even find better ones. It even contains the contact, website, rating, opening time, address, type of food they offer and certifications of all the restaurant.

How I built it

I used react.js, google maps api, travel advisor api, weather api, google places api & material-ui to create the restaurant locator component. I used Html, Css, Javascript & Recipe API to create the recipe finder component.

Challenges we ran into

I faced a lot of problem with the Google Maps API, as I was not able to give my billing information to complete my profile on google cloud for Google Maps API, my website was creating some errors on the map and search section which was using Google Places API. Now its working but the map in the website looks a little grey and the search section doesnt works. As I dont have my important documents to complete my billing information process, I faced all this issue.
