Inspiration
DEGACOG was inspired by a deeply personal experience. My mother was sick and had to travel all the way to the state capital for treatments at the teaching hospital.
Not only was the wait time long, it was extremely slow and tiring with multiple files to fill and receipts to submit at different sectors of the hospital.
Spending over ten hours on the queue was not the most pleasant of experiences but it's certainly is the plight of everyday Africans making their way to medical facilities within their reach.
This led me to ask pertinent questions why and how can these situations be addressed to achieve optimal healthcare and ease and effective delivery for all involved.
What it does
DEGACOG is the comprehensive health innovation at the heartbeat of technology, real impact and sustainable development.
What makes it different is how it brings together real healthcare needs and everyday limitations into one simple system. While others focus only on hospital digitization or virtual checkups, we are creating something more rounded.
We are building a virtual hospital where patients can speak with doctors or AI assistants from anywhere. Our system reminds them to take their medications, track fitness and meals, and ask questions about their health.
For communities without electricity or smartphones, DEGACOG works with USSD and offline mode. We also created a space for doctors to connect, share patient cases and learn from each other so patients get faster and more accurate treatment.
DEGACOG is for everyone-- the sick, the recovering and the healthy. That is what makes it different.

We are proud DEGACOG won the $326 Hackathon prize on its first ever outing. We are proud that we are building a great thing from a small place and even more excited about the relevance of our innovation in addressing key healthcare concerns and making health, swifter, easier and more accessible to everyone.

What's next for DEGACOG 360
We believe in the bright prospects of DEGACOG 360 and this why we are hopeful that our eventual success in this program will greatly help us to secure funding, meet investors, collaborate with other great minds in the industry to develop something immensely remarkable.
We are hopeful that the next 12 months will be a great time of reflection, fine-tuning and scaling DEGACOG to the finest form and massive adoption by users.
