I think there should be a free and accesible officially EU-recognised norm for mask and glove design including fabric with sufficient pore size and electrostatic characteristics to be used as a face mask or gloves.
So unless this has been done already, hygiene and fabric or materials experts need to decide which materials and fitting requirements are sufficient for DIY masks, gloves or other DIY protective equipment, especially if using them becomes a mandatory requirement. So there would be a definition of fabric criterea and an ideal cut/design to prevent collateral air flow (e.g. ruffles of fabric). Then fabric that meets the requirements can be sent to individuals or companies that produce the masks.
Also a video or other instruction of how to check if a mask fits well, i.e. minimal collateral airflow should be on an official EU-wide recognised site.
