Inspiration

Existing web2 multivendor marketplaces.

What it does

  • Allows customers to pay for real world items with crypto.
  • Currently interacts with the database which links to the postal service (UPS) for order tracking. Aim to move this on chain through external adapters and add functionality for more postal services.
    ## How we built it
Through a lot of discussion. Played with ethers.js, servers, and chainlink nodes.
    ## Challenges we ran into
-Brainstorming ways to decentralize with limited time.
-Finding model that wouldn't be cost prohibitive.
    ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
    -Authentication with Metamask.
-How to deploy a chainlink node.
-Thinking about web security in web3.
-How to think about user experience in web3.
    ## What we learned
Bringing web3 functions to web2 user experience.
    ## What's next for defiber
-Setting up multiple chain withdrawals and transfers.
    -Setting up disputes for vendors.
-Making the user experience more polished.
    -Managing image uploads to IPFS.
-We will update frontend to reflect changes in smart contracts.
