Inspiration: Staking apps are in a huge trend these days
What it does: I decided to make a staking app which works similar to a bank in which I have a newly made cryptocurrency and an existing cryptocurrency (DAI) in this case. In this, we deposit into the application and earn interest in another cryptocurrency.
How we built it: I wrote the smart contract in solidity language and the frontend in React.js. Node.js, ganache, web3.js, metamask and truffle were used as well.
Challenges we ran into: Understanding the core and important concepts of blockchain and its functioning
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Completing the project and learning concepts regarding the blockchain, how it functions and combination of react with solidity, use of metamask.
What we learned: I learned about concepts of blockchain deeply and its functioning. Also, I learnt how to configure web3.js and connecting of smart contracts with react.
What's next for DeFi Token Staking App: A banking system where there are a number of cryptocurrencies to stack from.
