Inspiration
We started with a Decentralized nft auction site. When we figured out what we were doing, we decided that was to hard. Half the team couldn't code, and nobody knew rust. Then we changed to make a lottery, but our rust functions wouldn't compile. So we gave up and used the template for a fun pay to win cookie clicker.
What it does
It's a cookie, that you give luna to for points.
How we built it
We forked the template, and added a cookie frontend
Challenges we ran into
RUST
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learned a looot. Look forward to trying again when we figure out the rust problem
What we learned
- Rust is not a language that can be learned overnight
- decentralized apps are really cool, and will change the world
What's next for Defi Cookie Clicker
- cookie nfts
Notes
- Rust is great for professional projects
- A more hackathon-friendly language would be nice. Rust isn't taught in schools yet, and is very different from even c and C++. Golang or AssemblyScript support would be really useful.
Built With
- luna
- react
- terrain
