Inspiration

We were inspired to do a 2D game about the environment. We thought about deforestation and made a game to protect the tree.

What it does

It is a game where you protect a tree and allow it to grow! There are goblins who want to fight the tree, but you have to fight them.

How we built it

We built it using Unity and C#. It utilizes spawners, players, and colliders to accomplish the game.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into the challenge of not being able to collaborate on more than one device (since Unity requires money for that). Our solution was coding all together just on one device; this would be slower but would be free.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we got our IDE to work, despite the collaborating difficulties.

What we learned

Unity costs money. Perseverance. We learned about how to use unity spawners.

What's next for Defender of the Tree

Add water after you get enough fertilizers. This is because trees need water.
