Inspiration
The game draws inspiration from blending session-based tactical tower defense with long-form tycoon management. The design leverages the psychological tension between the desire for expansion (greed) and the fear of loss (governance), aiming to transition the player from a passive defender into an active governor of a high-functioning system.
What it does
"Defend the Gates" is a mobile-first hybrid strategy game where players manage and protect a fortress-town. The core gameplay revolves around managing open gates, which act as both resource-gathering points for merchant caravans and invasion paths for enemy waves. Players deploy a defense grid of foot combatants, tower-mounted shooters, and heavy artillery. Additionally, players must manage a "Half-Dome Shield" fueled by Energy Orbs to protect the town while offline, creating a persistent sense of responsibility. It also features a competitive 1v1 PVP mode with offensive and defensive rounds.

I truly believe it is such a great combination of Traditional Tower Defense fun but with Heart beat of tycoon Actions. The mechanics as well I am excited to see in action.
