Inspiration

Developers like us can be very stressed in the midst of programming. Hence, we came up with this annoying virus to prank our friends.

What it does

Spits out random facts. Try to close it and two more will appear. Try it ignore it, another one will appear also. This serves as a de-stresser to let them take a break from their real work.

How we built it

VBSscript

Challenges we ran into

Sound and MessageBox not appearing at the same time. We passed an argument for the speech function into another script to run them in parallel.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We found a work-around for a limitation in VBScript.

What we learned

VBScript is a better tool for pranking than powershell as it does not require administrator rights.

What's next for defacto

Support for mac os and linux. Concealed mode, disguised as google chrome After running, insert itself into the registry so that it will run on startup.
