Inspiration
This is DeepFinnk.
We didn’t build it because budgeting apps don’t exist. We built it because decision paralysis does.
Because one day, you wake up and realize — you’ve got questions about money that no app has answers for. Not the ones that matter.
“Can I afford to quit my job?” “Should I move cities?” “How much runway do I really have?” “What if I want to go all in on this startup?”
Bunq already makes banking feel effortless. But for the big, scary, what-am-I-doing-with-my-life decisions — people still feel alone.
So we asked: What if you had someone — not a banker, not a spreadsheet — but a calm, smart, never-judging mind that listens and plans with you?
We called it DeepFinnk. Not a chatbot. Not a gimmick. A real financial consultant, powered by a network of AI agents. Built right into your banking app.
You give it a goal — “I want to buy a home in 3 years.” “I want to move to Lisbon and freelance.” “I just want to not feel broke by the 20th every month.”
And it does the math. Tracks your spending. Analyzes your income. Looks at your country’s tax laws, your city’s cost of living, your loan options. And gives you back a plan that makes sense. Step by step. Week by week.
It’s not just reactive. We’re building toward proactive.
A future where Deepfinnk quietly monitors your financial path — and gently lets you know when you’re drifting. Sends encouragement when you’re on track. Offers new suggestions when things change.
That’s not in the current build. But it’s where we’re going.
What it does
It’s not just an assistant. It’s a real financial consultant, built into your Bunq app. DeepFinnk takes your goals — any goal — and turns them into step-by-step financial plans. It analyzes your income, spending, location, tax benefits, loan options, and timelines — all in context.
How we built it
Using a MCP server and a network of AI agents. The main agent breaks down the problem description for the other agents to solve. The compiled results are summarized.
Challenges we ran into
Agent responses were sometimes unpredictable and does not actually output the relevant information that we are looking for.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a working application on technology that we were previously unfamiliar with in a short time.
What we learned
Learning to wrestle with unpredictable AI agents, MCPs and learning to Integrating them into applications.
What's next for DeepFinnk
We’re not stopping here.
Deepfinnk should become your financial co-pilot.
Always on. Always in the background.
Checking your progress. Keeping you steady.
And when things get messy — it doesn’t judge.
It just shows up and says:
“We’ve got options. Here’s what we do.”
We want to build that.
More robust agents.
More languages.
Deeper integrations.
A better UX.
But most of all —
A tool that helps people stop being afraid of money.
And start building lives they actually want.
