Inspiration

In a world that is being consumed by artificial intelligence it's good to stay on your toe's and protect yourself from these tools. Deep fake technology has only advanced as AI has come into the public light. You don't want you to have videos/pictures impersonating you online! That is why we created DeepBreak as a way to keep your photos looking good to you but poisoning them so AI deep fake models can't learn from them!

What it does

You upload an image you want to have protected to www.deepbreak.tech. We then run our own custom image tweaking algorithm that inverts certain pixels of an image to prevent an AI model from training on them. However we made our image tweaking algorithm so that you can't tell the changes we made to the image so you can still openly share your moment's with friends.

How we built it

We built the frontend using React.js and we created the backend using Flask and OpenCV for image detection.

Challenges we ran into

We had some challenges with image conversion from Base64 and back to an image. Along with that we had trouble trying to connect our frontend to our backend and spent most of our time working on that.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating an app the actually produces results that seem to break our AI image app.
