In Senegal, people have been struggling to get the right healthcare treatment for their diseases and lack information on the government healthcare insurance benefits. Doctors also do not have access to previous medical records of their patients in order to make the right diagnosis and provide better treatment. Taking care accidental and unconscious people is very difficult when they do not have their ID on them as it is difficult to alert their families or get their demographic information. These issues have affected millions of people not only in Senegal but also in West Africa and Africa as a whole. These issues can be handled with the implementation of an artificial intelligence based digital ID system. This comes with the implementation of a digital ID system that can have access to government issued ID database in order to check demographic credentials and biometric scans. The artificial intelligence model will cross check the information on the digital ID provided by the client with those on the ID issuing agency database. There will national database linked to each individual's digital ID, securely storing past medical records, prescriptions, and insurance benefits. This enables healthcare providers to access real-time patient information while maintaining data privacy. The system incorporates biometric technology, such as fingerprint facial and iris recognition, to identify individuals securely. This ensures that even in cases where patients lack physical identification documents, healthcare providers can quickly access their medical records. This feature is particularly critical during emergencies, such as accidents or unconscious patients, where timely identification and access to medical history can save lives. A user-friendly mobile application will be developed to empower citizens to manage their healthcare information. Through this app, users can: View their medical records and track appointments, access information about government insurance benefits and eligibility. They can also locate nearby healthcare facilities and pharmacies and receive reminders for routine checkups or medication schedules. The app will also include multilingual support to ensure inclusivity across diverse populations. AI-Driven Analytics Artificial intelligence will play a pivotal role in the system. AI algorithms will analyze patient data to assist healthcare providers in making more accurate diagnoses. This proactive approach will not only improve individual care but also strengthen public health responses. This system will be designed for scalability, allowing integration with other government systems such as national ID registries and social services. This interconnected approach will enhance the efficiency of public service delivery beyond healthcare. The benefits of the proposed solution will revolutionize healthcare accessibility and delivery in Senegal and across West Africa by reducing delays in diagnosis and treatment due to identification issues.
