Hallucinations, outdated information, and unverified assertions represent the single largest barrier preventing autonomous AI systems from enterprise adoption—particularly across venture due-diligence, legal risk audits, and financial claims. Standard search-augmented generation (RAG) platforms either regurgitate raw snippets or fail silently against link rot and deceptive source materials.
We engineered DeepAudit AI to establish an enterprise-grade forensic standard: an autonomous, multi-tier agent architecture combining the high-throughput reasoning of NVIDIA Nemotron on Nebius Token Factory with the runtime search capabilities of the Tavily API, reinforced by client-side PII airlocks and cryptographic SHA-256 evidence hashing.
What it does
DeepAudit AI transforms unstructured corporate assertions, press releases, or whitepapers into an audit-grade verified intelligence report through a 5-stage pipeline:
- Enterprise PII Airlock: Automatically scrubs and redacts client identifiers, email addresses, and phone numbers prior to outbound data transmission.
- Tier-1 Atomic Claim Extraction (NVIDIA Nemotron): Deconstructs complex inputs into isolated, verifiable atomic claims and generates dual orthogonal query vectors:
- Corroborating Queries (seeking empirical proof)
- Adversarial Queries (seeking contradictions, limitations, or regulatory sanctions)
- Parallel Live Web Intelligence (Tavily Runtime API): Dispatches asynchronous, parallel searches using
search_depth="advanced"across trusted domains to capture high-density web context in real-time. - Forensic Snapshot Freezing (SHA-256): Computes immutable cryptographic hashes and UTC timestamps for all retrieved web context, guaranteeing non-repudiation and defense against link rot.
- Tier-2 Deep Audit & Synthesis (NVIDIA Nemotron on Nebius): Performs strict evidence-grounded evaluation to output:
- Visual Verdict Badges (
VERIFIED,CONTRADICTORY,DEBUNKED,INCONCLUSIVE) - Mathematical Confidence Scores (0–100%)
- Citations and Identified Risk Flags
- One-click exportable JSON Audit Packages and Executive Markdown Memos
- Visual Verdict Badges (
How we built it
- Inference Infrastructure: Powered by Nebius Token Factory, hosting NVIDIA Nemotron-4 / Nemotron 3 Ultra for high-precision deep reasoning and claim extraction.
- Runtime Web Search: Built on the Tavily Search API, utilizing asynchronous parallel execution for multi-angle evidence gathering.
- Frontend & Fullstack Runtime: Developed with Next.js 14+ (App Router), TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, featuring dynamic SVG meters, interactive pipeline trackers, and evidence drawers.
- Forensic Layer: Integrated Node.js crypto engine generating deterministic SHA-256 snapshot hashes.
- Hosting & CI/CD: Deployed on Vercel with optimized serverless edge functions.
Challenges we ran into
- Context Noise vs. Latency: Ingesting full-depth web documents into large models introduced latency and token waste. We resolved this by implementing an asymmetric prompt pipeline—using targeted claim extraction first to keep Tavily retrieval focused and relevant.
- Cryptographic Immutability: Ensuring that live web evidence could be forensically referenced required normalizing HTML snippets into deterministic strings before SHA-256 hashing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Achieving zero hallucination leakage through strict evidence-bounded system prompts.
- Sub-5-second parallel runtime verification using async Tavily calls.
- Delivering a UI that bridges consumer simplicity with enterprise forensic audit standards.
What we learned
Building DeepAudit AI underscored the necessity of multi-tier agent topologies: using specialized models and parallel retrieval creates a far more reliable reasoning chain than relying on monolithic one-shot prompts.
What's next for DeepAudit AI
- Continuous Watcher Webhooks: Real-time background monitors alerting users via Slack and Jira when newly indexed web evidence contradicts a previously verified claim.
- Hybrid Multi-Tenant RAG: Fusing internal confidential PDF filings (10-K filings, pitch decks) with Tavily’s external web intelligence.
