Inspiration
Our team took Base22's proposal, by allowing the blind community to experience the same way their friends and acquaintances do, through emotion. By creating a horror game in which you can only hear, blind users may play through the game with ease, and leave with a unique experience.
What it does
Deep Dark Fears creates fear in all hearing users alike. By having a random series of events, having to dodge a beast, and continuing their journey to save their friends.
To move, use the following keys. Up Key : Move forwards Down Key : Move backwards Spacebar : Avoid obstacles and monsters.
How I built it
Using Unity2D Game Engine, and the C# language.
Challenges I ran into
Organization being key, is a weakness in our team. We'd like to study more team workflow strategies and a way to organize our 'todos' faster.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are proud of giving continuity to our side studies, which was the case of Unity, not being a main section of our career course.
What I learned
We've learned that our accomplishments come from consistency and practice, having participated in Hackathon Puebla 2.0, we've improved along the way, and learned new tricks.
What's next for Deep Dark Fears
With the Engine finished, all that's left is integrating more events, enemies and hazards into the gameplay to finish the story that was given.
