📱 Decoze – AI Room Planner

🌟 Inspiration

We were inspired by the challenge people face when trying to redesign their homes.
Most users can’t easily visualize how a room will look with new furniture, colors, or layouts.
Professional interior design is expensive, and existing design tools are too complex.

This inspired us to build Decoze, an app that makes interior design as easy as snapping a photo.

💡 What We Learned

• We learned the importance of time-boxing development to focus on shipping instead of endless polishing.
  
• We discovered how valuable RevenueCat is, not just for payments but also for insights and flexibility in monetization.
  
• We saw firsthand how onboarding with visuals and animations increases user engagement compared to plain text.

We focused on making the user flow seamless: onboarding with GIFs, uploading a photo, selecting a style, and instantly seeing an AI-powered redesign.

🚧 Challenges We Faced

• AI speed vs. quality: optimizing output to balance realism with fast generation times
  
• App Store launch prep: creating high-quality screenshots, demo videos, and metadata under tight deadlines
  
• Subscription logic: ensuring free credits, subscriptions, and one-time packs worked together without confusing the user
  
• Secure scaling: setting up Firebase rules to protect user data while keeping the app responsive
