Inspiration

Hard decisions can come from anywhere. Whether you are by yourself or trying to decide with a group, having a tool to help you weigh several different factors at a time and find you options in real time would be extremely helpful.

What it does

Kimaru.tech uses Google Gemini AI to send specific instructions for user's problem and weighing various factors to return ranked options and displaying the percent match of each factor. There will also be a summary of each option given.

How we built it

We built the web app using bun framework, mongodb backend, react components, google gemini, tailwind css, ariakit, and deployed on render.

Challenges we ran into

API limits, some teammates learning new languages and technologies, endpoint issues and debugging, first time using and setting up mongodb.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The web app turned out much better than we imagined. The UI looks great and the results from the gemini call in the right format were exhilarating.

What we learned

We learned a ton about api endpoints, experience learning ai models, bun framework, typescript, and mongodb.

What's next for Decisions For Us

We would like to continue cleaning up the UI/UX, scaling for larger deployment, AI api key handling.
